Dubai Holding Asset Management has announced the start of construction on its new residential project, Lantana Hills, in the Dubai Science Park area of Al Barsha South. The developer is investing around 680 million UAE dirhams, equivalent to approximately $185 million, in the creation of a gated community of premium townhouses. Group AMANA, which specialises in industrial and modular construction, has been selected as the main contractor.
The project comprises 390 private homes with three and four bedrooms. According to DHAM, the development will be aimed at families and will offer residents landscaped communal spaces, walking areas, internal infrastructure and quick access to key facilities in western Dubai. Completion of the project is scheduled for the second half of 2027.
One of the distinctive features of Lantana Hills will be the extensive use of modular construction technologies. To deliver the project, Group AMANA will utilise the DuBox and DuPod systems, which allow a significant portion of the structures to be manufactured off-site. According to the project team, this approach is expected to reduce construction waste by approximately 30% and significantly speed up the construction schedule. Around 85% of the future complex’s components are planned to be prefabricated at manufacturing sites.
The company emphasises that the new complex will form part of a strategy to expand its portfolio of rental housing and develop modern residential areas in Dubai. The project has already received preliminary LEED for Cities and Communities: Plan & Design Silver certification, confirming its compliance with international sustainable construction standards.
The Dubai Science Park area, where Lantana Hills is being built, has been actively developing in recent years as one of the emirate’s new residential clusters. Its proximity to Dubai Hills Mall, Mall of the Emirates and major transport routes makes this part of the city attractive to both tenants and investors.
