Dubai tenants can now register and renew their Ejari contracts entirely through WhatsApp — eliminating the need for in-person visits and bringing a new level of convenience to the emirate’s rental market. The service has been launched by Injaz Real Estate Registration Trustee via the Aqari platform, in partnership with the Dubai Land Department.
Ejari is a mandatory rental registration system in Dubai, essential for activating DEWA utilities, applying for a residence visa, and accessing property management services. For landlords, it ensures legal protection; for tenants, it offers security in visa renewals and legal disputes. The new digital channel streamlines compliance and saves valuable time.
With just a few taps on WhatsApp, users can now update personal or corporate details, modify title deeds, request plot maps, conduct property valuations, register ownership, and more — all remotely and through secure, government-approved channels. This ensures both data protection and full legal compliance.
The move comes amid shifting dynamics in Dubai’s rental market. According to Allsopp & Allsopp, May 2025 saw a 19% drop in contract renewals and a 17% dip in renewal prices, while new contracts rose by 15%, with average prices up by 9%. This trend reflects growing tenant interest in new listings and emerging communities.
“Our mission is to simplify and modernize the rental experience in Dubai,” said Majid Al Mazrouei, CEO of Injaz. “With WhatsApp-based Ejari services, clients can now manage rental registrations from anywhere in the world — quickly, securely, and efficiently.”
Since its launch in August 2024, the Aqari platform has proven to be a powerful tool for remote property management — and this latest feature makes it even more indispensable.
